Overview
I created a website and client portal app for Beauty Fires X-tends to create a seamless booking experience while boosting client engagement and loyalty. The project addressed challenges such as inconsistent booking systems and a lack of centralized service information. My goal was to deliver a professional yet approachable platform that showcases services clearly, supports efficient bookings, and helps the business grow while meeting client needs.
Discovery
Empathize & Define
To understand the needs of both the clients and the business, I started my research with competitive analysis and user testing. I reviewed similar salon and wellness websites to identify good and bad practices. By conducting user tests, I observed how users interacted with these sites and noted their frustrations. This helped me see what worked and what didn't. From this research, I identified key user needs: a transparent booking process, easy accessible service details, and clear pricing. I then created user stories to ensure my designs addressed these pain points and deliver a more efficient and satisfying experience.
Concept Development
Ideate & Prototype
With the user stories in mind, I used the Lotus Blossom technique to brainstorm innovative ideas, such as integrating a loyalty rewards program, a transparent booking guide, and a feature for saving favorite styles. These concepts were refined into detailed wireframes and translated to high fidelity prototypes.
Execution
Final Design & Style Guide
For Beauty Fires X-tends, I designed a comprehensive website and app tailored to the needs of both clients and the business. The app offered exclusive features, such as booking history, favorite styles, community inspiration, milestone tracking, and synchronized calendars, ensuring a personalized and seamless experience. Clients could easily book single or multiple appointments, access policies, and receive reminders and updates. The website catered to non-account users by providing essential functionalities like booking single services, viewing pricing, reading reviews, and exploring job openings. Together, the website and app delivered a professional, user-friendly platform that elevated the brand’s digital presence and enhanced client satisfaction.
